So a friend of mine who has been participating in the juice buying program, something about it is made from the Acai berry and super healthy for you but stupid expensive, is having me be a guinea pig for this three day program where I drink these shakes for breakfast and lunch and I'm supposed to lose 5 lbs. I get half a protein bar in between meals and a pill that is intended to curb my appetite.
So as someone who wouldn't mind shedding a few pounds I said what the hell and am I giving it a try. Now you should note that I've never taken any dietary supplements, not even when I was training and playing football, beyond taking pure uncut soy protein. So I've always been skeptical, and was curious how this was going to have me shave off weight in a healthy manner in a few days.
I'm currently on Day 2, it's Sunday morning and I'm taking my shake. Yesterday wasn't easy, and during I realized that even though I'm receiving my fair share of nutrients, the likely reason I'll lose weight is simply by drastically reducing my calorie intake. So I could accomplish the same result by just not eating. But that's not as much fun.
So, I cheated a little bit on Day 1. I drank tons of coffee, a Dr. Pepper 10, and had some yogurt. Not terrible but I'm 6'3" and 215 lbs, and I can't really run on E for long. I will send an update tomorrow, but I'm anxious to see if I actually shave some of this weight.
